The Empress Storyline: What would it be able to be About?
Empress Elizabeth of Austria or Bavarian Dutchess Elizabeth was nicknamed as ‘Sisi’. She was born into a royal family, the Bavarian House of Wittelsbach.
Her childhood was relatively informal. Elizabeth was nearly 16 years old when she fell in love with Emperor Franz Joseph. He was supposed to get married to Elizabeth’s sister.
But, as they both were in love, they were married shortly after everyone learned about their feelings for each other. As she had a pleasant childhood, she did not expect such a drastic change in her life. After she married, she realised that Franz’s family was very sceptical and was filled with court politics.
Franz’s brother wants to be the one to rule. He thinks that he is more worthy than his brother. Elisabeth also experienced ill-treatment and many disagreements with her mother-in-law.
Her mother-in-law was also her aunt. How Elisabeth manages to live in such an environment and marks her place in the house is the whole plotline of The Empress.

At the end of The Empress Season 1, Elizabeth was able to gain the trust of civilians. As she had given birth to a child, she was escorted to the palace.
