The street-level heroes’ alliance against the formidable “Hand” was a fantastic sight; the alliance was skillfully constructed, with all the dots falling into place.
The writing in this series was a major fault; there were numerous poor writing errors. Although the action scenes were terrific, there were a few awkward moments. Although “The Hand” is the most significant criminal organization in the Defenders saga, the way they betrayed them in this show didn’t convince me; I had expected them to be more powerful and terrible.
The way Elektra was portrayed could have been more transparent. Except for Iron Fist, all of the Defenders were quite outstanding. Although the show’s lighting and cinematography were excellent technically, the production value was modest, and the editing was occasionally jarring. Overall, a fantastic show that is worth watching despite its drawbacks.
