Charlie and his family celebrate a huge win of $10 million. However, his fiancée runs away with all the profit. Charlie then goes to a luxury hotel where he meets Emma Hill, an undercover CIA agent. After they hit it off instantly, a weekend full of flirting, passion, and intimacy follows.
Meanwhile, Charlie’s family is looking for him, and he sets up a new job. At a gala, Charlie’s family plan to scam a high-rolling mega-pastor. However, Emma’s family also attends the event, and Charlie breaks things off with Emma by lying to her. Charlie successfully tricks the pastor and gets their hands on a huge amount of money.
Meanwhile, the FBI starts investigating the missing $10 million, and Emma sees a familiar-looking man in the evidence. Charlie apologizes to Emma and confesses his feelings as the two start dating. However, things take a turn for Charlie and his family when goons from the drug syndicate appear to collect their $10 million back. The Nicolettis find a way to repay the goons by trying to steal a prized necklace at an auction.
Meanwhile, Emma and Charlie have their first proper date, but Emma warns him not to fall in love with her. Her brother is running for Senate re-election and Emma is given a position in his team even though she is interested. However, the reality of Emma and Charlie’s lives comes very close to collision when they investigate Daphne’s room.
As the Nicolettis are trying to steal the necklace, they realize it is stolen, and they extort her husband for $500,000. And Charlie thinks that since Daphne is African American, she might be the biological daughter of Maguire. After knocking it off the table, Charlie soon finds that Emma had bugged an item in Daphne’s room accidentally.
