What happened at the end of Season 1?
The teens all go about their business in the last few episodes. We see how Leia wants to live her best life before she leaves for her hometown. Her obsession with Jay seems to be never-ending. Nate feels guilty for not practicing football which puts him in a sore mood all day.
Leia is upset because Jay wants to break up with her. Others agree with Jay because Leia will only return the following year during summer, which is a very long time. Kitty is upset about them leaving, and Nate wants to know about Leia and her feelings toward him.

What Is The Storyline Of That ’90s Show?
The series is an American period teen sitcom with laughter and classic themes from prior episodes. It’s refreshing and brings back memories of when comedy was entertaining. The series is unquestionably a superior replacement to that 1970s show.
The story follows Leia Forman, the daughter of Eric Forman and Donna Pincoitti, as she discovers new acquaintances and bonds with other teenagers while staying with her grandparents. The series takes place 15 years after that 1970s show.
Leia is visiting her grandparents when she meets her next-door neighbor, Gwen, who introduces her to new people. Leia wishes to prolong her stay; her father initially disagrees but relents after everyone reassures him. Leia develops feelings for Jay, and circumstances unfold that make the series entertaining to watch. Jay, on the other hand, ends up with a new girlfriend. On Leia’s 15th birthday, though, they both kiss and resolve to be together.
But when her visit ends, she realizes Jay wants to stop their relationship because they will see each other the following year.

The original characters will return for the second season, but Leia’s parents will return for the season too. We also know that Leia will return to the point place. We might be introduced to some new characters, but the old ones are all here.

IMDb gives it 6.4/10, rotten tomatoes give it 76%, and Metacritic gives it 58%, an abysmal rating for the series. However, the people who watched the series see it as a repetition of most dramas that revolve around the same basic ideology. Some even claim that the series follows the same path as its predecessor.
The ratings could be better for the series because the original 70s show scored a lot higher than this series. It is a surprise that people do not like this offspring of it as much as the producers anticipated.

Unfortunately, this is not a 1970s program. It simply makes obvious 2023 jokes and is more reminiscent of Disney Channel humor than the 1970s program.

The program is not set in the 1990s. Despite the computer in the living room (it is doubtful that a technophobic elderly American couple would have access to a computer and the internet in 1995), the show could be set in 2023.
The attire isn’t very 1990s, the hairstyles aren’t very 1990s, and the characters are far too progressive for the 1990s. The characters would not be so advanced even if this story were set in the 2000s.
Just set the program in the 1990s, with genuine 1990s attitudes and struggles.
The comedy aspect of the program could be better. Even the funniest passages are passable; nothing about this new cast made me laugh out loud.
The writers should consider what made the original show so funny, but not in an attempt to replicate it. Instead, they should use it as a vibe check and establish the show in the 1990s. I don’t know unsure if the authors are too old or young, but it doesn’t seem like they were adolescents in the 1990s.

To put it nicely, the series must be updated and follow the same concept. It’s like watching those stereotypical shows over and over again. There is nothing new for the sequel to look out for.
It’s plain and boring except for a few new jokes that make it worth watching for a moment, but then we return to the same old thing of not having enough good content. The series could have been much better if the writhed written-wrote something unique and original.
Other fans do understand and share the same sentiment as me. They believe the show could have been much better since they brought a sitcom back. These need to be updated and watched more, but the show’s potential was ruined when they followed the theme of a girl going away for summer and adventures (same old) follow. There are so many movies and series on the same music that it gets boring and too much after a certain point.

It was not what I had expected.
