What happened at the end of the previous Season

Although Lucy is not yet prepared to have that conversation, Pippa almost accuses Stephen of authoring the letter. Later, Stephen spends a while with Diana while Lucy remains with Pippa. She inquires as to whether he is happier now or one year ago. He replies, “Fu*k, everything’s a fucking mess.”
Stephen follows Diana downstairs while they are holding hands after she offers to help him find employment at her father’s business. Furthermore, he doesn’t care that Lucy is directly in front of it.
After that, Lucy is a wreck, and Evan must comfort her. When Evan wonders what he can do, Lucy suggests they both get drunk. However, Evan wakes up the following morning in Lucy’s bed.
The final scene of Tell Me Lies cuts to Bree and Evan’s wedding. We replay the scene in which Wrigley wrecks a dessert plate while intoxicated. However, Lucy is cautioned to be gentle with Wrigley because “it was his brother’s birthday yesterday.”
Then Stephen arrives to introduce himself as Lucy departs. They greet one other and express how nice it is to see each other. The next thing Lydia says to Stephen is that she can’t wait to see Lucy again. The show concludes as Lucy and Lydia cross paths once more.
