Sabikui Bisuko is a Japanese light novel series. ASCII Media Services Dengeki Bunko label has issued eight volumes since March 2018. Yen Press has the North American rights to the light novel.
A manga adaptation was serialized online From April 2019 and March 2021 in Square Enix’s online manga publication Manga UP!. It was published in four Tankbon volumes. The second half of the manga began publishing in the same magazine in December 2021.

What Is Sabikui Bisco About?
“Sabikui Bisco” is an action-adventure narrative set in a post-apocalyptic environment. Japan will be ravaged by an illness known as the “Rusty Wind,” which has claimed many lives in the distant future.
The only remedy for this illness is an elixir mushroom proven to cleanse rust. Bisco Akaboshi, a young guy, sets off on a trip to discover the rust-eating fungus to cure his ill instructor. On his route, he encounters a young doctor called Miro Nekoyanagi in Imihama.
Miro is also working for the same goal: to discover miraculous medication. Together, Akaboshi and Miro go through Japan’s wasteland in pursuit of a cure for their loved ones and potentially the whole nation.
They will have to do so while coping with some irate residents who think the “Rusty Wind” disease is caused by an evil mushroom and that Akaboshi’s clan of Mushroom Guardians must be held guilty for the presence of the bad mushroom.
