These 30 participants selected from all parts of the USA engage in battle among themselves over the last 5 episodes as they compose their own music and shoot their own videos with their musical storylines. At that time, they were given different kinds of assignments, which also served as the key to their selection and elimination.
Finally, in the 9th episode, John Legend was there to act as a mentor for the last 5 participants present there.
Those 5 participants were given a chance to write down their own songs and work on them along with the biggest producers in the industry, and finally, D Smoke emerged as the winner from the five of them.
The last 5 participants were Flawless Real Talk, Londynn B, Troyman, Caleb Colossus, and of course D Smoke.
