Storyline of Queen of Divorce: What is it able to be about?
The plot revolves around Kim Sa-ra and her resolve to bring harmony and seek justice to unfair practices in the legal area. She used to be the Daughter-in-law of the head of one of the biggest law firms in South Korea. She had a loving family, with her mostly focusing on the wellbeing of her son.
But it was taken away in a whim, by her mother-in-law and her husband, landing her in jail. After her jail term, she transforms into this new version of herself, working as a team leader in a company called ‘Solutions’.
She along with Dong Ki-Joon, another prosecutor who was quite brave and brilliant in his work join hands together to bring justice to spouses who get wronged in a marital life. Then starts a rollercoaster ride of fun, romance, thriller, revenge and new discoveries that may change the perspective and lives of the lead.
What happened at the end of Queen of Divorce Season 1?
Season 1 end cannot be determined at the present moment as only two episodes have aired so far. The recap of two episodes as below:
Episode one of Queen of Divorce started with action and saving a child from a possible kidnapping done by the kid’s step father. We get to see the back end operation and the main lead, Kim Sa-ra of the show as they deal with such issues in the business of service by means of divorce solutions.
We get to see her past and why she took up this odd job which has quite some risks and client attachment. Sa-ra used to be the royal Daughter-in-law of the biggest law firm- Chayul law firm practicing law and taking up corporate cases or any cases related to the people involved with corporate.
Though this may seem like a rosy life on the surface, she is not paid much attention to during parties and other events where her cruel and rigid mother-in-law only introduces Sa-ra’s son to the elite people and disregard her.
Chairwoman Cha (Played by Na Young-hee famous for ‘My love from Another Star’) shows her dislike and disdain towards Sa-ra from time to time, insinuating about her low income background and Sa-ra’s mother.
Sa-ra’s husband is someone who feels overshadowed by his wife’s accomplishments and feels insecure, works on getting his mom’s validation and also has a secret affair, unknown to his wife. Sa-ra is at peace when she spends time with her mother and her son, who she seems like the light of her life.
Episode one and two showcases the start of ‘Solutions’ and how it came into force. The head of Solutions -Sohn Jang-Mi’s past is also revealed and the connection between her and Sa-ra begins in her divorce settlement with her then husband who was physically and verbally abusive towards her.
Sa-ra is asked to represent the husband here as he hires Chayul firm as his defense lawyer. She is lured into taking the case by the Chairwoman, stating that she would be promoted and also be recognised by her mother-in-law.
Conflicted at first, she takes up the case, but is let down by the Chairwoman when her promotion promise was not met. So, Sa-ra hints at the lies Jang-Mi’s husband told her and about their fraudulent marriage to Jang-Mi, making her win the child Custody and also a deserving alimony
Under a twist of events, Sa-ra is divorced from her husband and her son is taken away from her, as she gets arrested for an issue and scandal she has no knowledge about. The Chairwoman is behind all the confusions and issues surrounding Sa-ra, as she has taken away the person that is no more useful to her in establishing and expanding her Empire.
Sa-ra feeling wronged about everything in her life, comes to know about her mother’s death, with no clues or reasons given.
Dong Ki-Joon (played by Kang Ki-young most popularly known for his work in Extraordinary Attorney Woo) is also a part of Solutions and he also used to be a strict and brave prosecutor unless he left the position for which the reasons are not revealed as of yet.
Jang-Mi offers the business proposal to Sa-ra during her prison time and agrees to do, as an employee and not a lawyer, as she is barred from practicing law for the next 5 years or so, after her term.
Jang-Mi, Ki-Joon and Sa-ra with other workers on Solutions help people with their divorce settlements and bring justice to spouses who suffer in multiple ways with their better-half.
What will happen in Season 2 spoilers and expectations?
It is not possible to hint or provide spoilers regarding the expected plot of season two, as season one has completed only two episodes revealing less about the overall storyline and further characters.
