Because I am such a major fan of Korean dramas and programs, I had really high expectations for this particular K-drama adaptation. I just finished watching the first episode, and I must say that I am quite dissatisfied. This must be the Korean interpretation of the acting style seen in “Hallmark Movies.” The narrative is an old one that’s been told again.

Kim Ji-Won does not draw you into any sort of likeability, and she lacks any chemistry with the main characters. The characters in this Korean drama do not have the draw or depth of many other Korean dramas. Unfortunately, the acting as a whole is only average. My mind can’t help but wander to the possibility that Netflix hurried the release of this show in order to cash in on the popularity of Korean dramas.

I’m sorry to say that this one was a bust. There are a lot of other wonderful and superior K-series that you may watch. If you are looking for a series that does not need a lot of thought or has characters with a lot of depth, the scenery is gorgeous.
