On January last year, Felix Film officially announced the release of the adaptation followed by a second release in May, 2022. What is MF Ghost All About?
It is circa 202X A.D in Japan and electric racing cars have covered the streets. It is the world of Porsche, Lambhorgini and Ferrari. A highly mysterious organization, MFG is the organizer of the world-famous car competition where annually the best racers from all over the world come and participate.
Kanata Livingston, a nineteen-year-old boy graduating from one of the best racing schools of the world, from Britain came to Japan with one goal in his mind- find his father.
Estranged from his father for so many years, his quest brought him back to where it all began- Japan. As one thing leads to another he finds himself on the race track under an alibi name, in a Toyota 86, and taking part in the race of his life.
Demonstrating his unbelievable skills, this young Japanese-British boy, under the training of the renowned ex-racer Takumi Fujiwara, the main protagonist of the series Initial D, he finds himself in the top fifteen. As the employees of MFG take notice of him, things start spiraling way too faster.
Based on the sequel to the classic Initial D series, the manga series MF Ghost has been acclaimed worldwide. With the announcement of MF Ghost Season 1, it is probably one of the most highly anticipated anime of this year.
