In this lighthearted, fictitious look at their lives in fashion and cinema, real-life mother-daughter combo Neena and Masaba Gupta play themselves.
Based on true events in Masaba Gupta’s life, the film chronicles her unique upbringing, the disparate worlds she straddles between fashion and family, and her reintroduction to dating. Masaba’s life is a magnificent mess, and she is not shy about displaying it to the world. This delightful series will be an inspirational, cheerful celebration of her life, narrated by the mother-daughter pair of Masaba and Neena Gupta. The genre-bending series will be directed by Sonam Nair and conceived and produced by Ashvini Yardi’s Vineyard Films.
Masaba Gupta expressed her excitement, saying, “I’m a major fan of Netflix and the breadth of its material.” As a result, I was overjoyed when the producers approached me about creating a sitcom inspired by my experiences.
