Lil Baby ft. Gunna – Ready could be one of the hip-most hop’s efficient acts right now. The Quality Control emcee released four full-length albums last year, including the first two installments of his “Hard” series, Harder Than Hard and Too Hard.
Baby didn’t slow down this year, releasing his debut studio album Harder Than Ever, as well as the highly anticipated Drip Harder collaboration with Gunna—apparently the only other rapper in the same bracket with a work ethic comparable to Lil Baby’s.
Now that Baby’s Street Gossip mixtape has been released, and the two have reunited for a tune off the project, “Ready,” bouncing over a Metro Boomin atmosphere.

Lil Baby
Dominique Armani Jones, better known by his stage name Lil Baby, is an American rapper who was born on December 3, 1994. Following the release of his mixtape Perfect Timing in 2017, he gained mainstream recognition.
Lil Baby’s debut studio album Harder Than Ever (2018) was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America and featured the song “Yes Indeed” (with Drake), which reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2018, he released two more mixtapes, Drip Harder and Street Gossip, the first of which featured his most hit song, “Drip Too Hard” (with Gunna), which peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100, and the second of which peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200. My Turn (2020), Lil Baby’s second studio album, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and was certified three times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The song “We Paid” (with 42 Dugg) reached number ten on the Billboard Hot 100. He released the track “The Bigger Picture” in June 2020, which reached number three on the Hot 100. The Voice of the Heroes, a collaboration between Lil Baby and Chicago rapper Lil Durk, was published in 2021 and became Lil Baby’s second number one album on the Billboard 200.
Lil Baby has won one Grammy and one BET awards over his career. At the Apple Music Awards 2020, he was named the biggest all-genre ‘Artist of the Year.’
