Born as Giveon Dezmann Evans on February 21, 1995, the 28-year-old (soon to be 29) was born in Los Angeles County although a specific address is not available; it won’t be wrong to speculate the superstar was born in Long Beach, California.
He along with his brother was raised by his single mother whom he credits for supporting him in his music career and keeping him and his brother away from the pressure of gang culture. He attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School and also took up a music program at the Grammy Museum.
He was inspired by the music of Frank Sinatra, Drake, and Barry White. He was scouted by Canadian record producer Sevn Thomas, who is said to have accidentally found Giveon on a random playlist on SoundCloud.
Giveon signed with Epic Records with the help of Thomas. He toured with Swedish singer Snoh Aalegra. In May 2020, Drake released “Chicago Freestyle” which led to the world discovering the talent of the young star.
In February 2021 released “Heartbreak Anniversary” and just a week later he featured in Justin Bieber’s single hit “Peaches”. From there onwards the singer has not looked back and now according to the statement of Epic Records revealed that Giveon has recorded a soundtrack for the movie “Amsterdam” (2022) called “Time” co-written by Drake.

The singer likes to keep his personal life far from the prying eyes of the media. He credits his mother a lot for protecting him from the violent gang culture of the Long Beach neighbourhood.
