Happy Feet is a 2006 computer-animated musical comedy film directed, produced, and co-written by George Miller. The film was developed by Animal Logic of Sydney for Warner Bros., Village Roadshow Pictures, and Kingdom Feature Productions. It was released in North American theatres on November 17, 2006, and in Australian theatres on December 26, 2006.
It is the first animated feature from Kennedy Miller and Animal Logic. The film is set in Antarctica’s icy nation and follows Mumble, an emperor penguin who, despite his incapacity to sing the soul mate’s song, can tap dance brilliantly. Mumble befriends the Amigos upon his exile from Emperor Land by Noah the Elder, and they assist him in rediscovering himself.
