“Firework/do you ever feel like a plastic bag” is a song by American singer Katy Perry from her third studio album, Teenage Dream (2010). Perry collaborated on the song alongside Ester Dean, Stargate, and Sandy Vee. It’s a dance-pop self-empowerment anthem with uplifting lyrics, and Perry felt it was an essential track for the album. On October 26, 2010, Capitol Records released it as the album’s third single.

Katy Perry (born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson on October 25, 1984) is an American singer, songwriter, and television judge. She has been acknowledged for her effect on the 2010s pop sound and aesthetic. Perry began singing in church as a child and later pursued it professionally. She signed with Red Hill Records in 2001 and released her commercially unsuccessful religious debut studio album Katy Hudson (2001) under her birth name.

Perry became the first artist to have multiple videos exceeding one billion views on YouTube with the music videos for her chart-topping singles “Roar” and “Dark Horse.” Witness (2017) incorporated a political undertone, themes of emancipation, and self-described “purposeful pop,” whereas Smile (2020) incorporated parenting and self-help themes. Each of Perry’s Capitol-released albums has topped one billion Spotify streams. In 2021, she will begin her first musical residency, named Play, at Resorts World Las Vegas.
Perry is one of the most successful musicians in the world, having sold more than 143 million records worldwide.
