Escort Boys is the French adaptation of an Israeli show titled ‘Johnny and the Knights of Galilee’ (also titled ‘Milk and Honey’). The timing of the series worked well aligning with the ongoing change in the gender dynamics of the country.

Season 1 had four young men trying to save their family business- a beekeeping estate. But when things don’t go right, they are somehow put in a tight spot to take up the escorting business.
With the help of the group’s little sister, who manages the business in their region, all of them work together prioritizing the service of women.
Through the job, they go through a revelation of sorts, where they become ‘Men’ of today, acknowledging the desires and needs of women, discovering the sensitive side of manhood and redefining masculinity against the pre-conceived notions of the society.
Zak, Ludo, Mathias and Ben – the four boys who have inherited the farm, find it hard to sustain it and had to take up being escorts as they provide a lucrative amount.
They go through a series of understanding the perceptions about sexuality, women’s desires, soft masculinity.
The season one had ex-flames getting back in touch, family finding out about their business, drama and denial regarding such work, disapproving spouses.
And to culminate the season in an open-ended way with an introduction of a powerful businesswoman ready to take up the estate and farm for her Spa resort project makes you wonder what will happen next in season 2.
