The show portrays an interesting story of a family while everything goes against the expectations for them as the mystery leads and they are found in some kind of a major trouble.
Dear Child shows how the character named Lena has been living with two children named Hannah and Jonathan in an isolated lifestyle for a long period of time and even their home is said to be totally secured.
The children have a fixed kind of schedule that they have to follow such as they would eat, use the toilet and also going to bed according their schedule.
A mysterious man who they call ‘Papa’ checks up on them every night to see if they are not hiding anything and that they are living according to the time of their schedule. Every night he asks them to put out their hands to see if they have been into something throughout the day or not.
Mentioning that those three used to live under strict rules and it was one day when Lena then decided to run away and did her best to escape as she had nowhere to go and thus roaming around with one goal of running as far as she can from that mysterious man.
Lena then accidentally hit a car on the highway and is rushed to a hospital. The story gets even more interesting to watch with every episode as the viewers get invested with the suspense.

What happened at the end of Season 1
Dear Child gave an intense ending with portraying how Lars and Jasmin came face to face. Lars attempted to kill Jasmin and then she acts of passing out so that he can let his guard down, Jasmin then looks for a chance and run up to him and stabs him in the neck with saying that she is not Lena, but her name is Jasmin.
The show catches up an intense scene and now Lars is finally gone. Gerd, who is the policeman then approaches them and watches Lars dying and as he reveals in his final moments the place where he has buried the real Lena some long time ago and where they can find her body.
Everything is settled in the end as Gerd is shown wrapping up all the files and Jasmin has started living life on her own which is a new start for her. The scene focuses on Jonathan as he has still been put under the care of clinic and Hannah is meeting her new therapist. The show closes off with showing everything has been closed and no sign of continuation for the second season was given at the end.
