Sandy tries to find her expensive purse, but since she cannot find it, she acts entitled and rude, making a living hell for all the girls there. Saskia, an exchange student who is also an entrepreneur, volunteers to help the girls, creates their work to bring electricity to the place, and manages the account of things.
One fine day, Zoe witnessed Saskia pushing Sandy into a boat and letting her drift across the waters, which makes her steer clear of Saskia, who returns and tells everyone that Sandy has left them all to fend for themselves.
However, under Saskia’s leadership, the girls are miserable, and they hate how unwilling Saskia is to work and only bosses around. Phone finds Sandy’s expensive purse among Saskia’s belongings. It exposes her to the other girls who wish to lynch her simply.
Still, Sister Bicky and Amelia tell the girls to give Saskia a fair trial, where it is revealed that Saskia is terrible and a bully to most of the girls in her class. Still, she reasons that she was dating a teacher who broke up after leaving the school. Though it excused none of her behavior, the girls let go of her; now, with no leader, they are confused.
Sandy arrives one day and tells people to find a land beyond the school. Still, Amelia, who is now off her antidepressants, is pessimistic and tells the girls that they will die on the island, so why not have a last feast, which eventually leaves minimal ration for them?
Knowing they have to resort to cannibalism, Amelia chooses to sacrifice herself first, where Zoe tells her to run away, and Amelia asks Zoe to run away with her. So the two of them set off, leaving the other girls hoping they would return with help.

Wow, could this be true? A series with a familiar plot that is entirely original and quirky? I thoroughly enjoyed each episode of this new Prime video, mainly when I realized it wasn’t just another generic zombie show. I’m not sure how it was produced in today’s climate of remakes, reboots, and recycled concepts, but I’m so glad it did! I hope it receives enough Amazon streams to merit a second season.
I don’t want to give anything away, so I’ll say (in at least 350 characters) that the general description provided when I first looked it up made me very skeptical, but I’m pleased I didn’t let that stop me from trying it. You may find yourself laughing and enjoying the ride, particularly if you appreciate comedies with a dash of dark humor; additionally, the soundtrack is an excellent boost of nostalgia, but sadly there is no Florida.
I wish Amazon promoted it more. I’ve written enough words to be able to post my review (not a fan of this requirement), but I give it 10/10. Try it out and appreciate the show!
