With her two best friends, Lu and Tere, and her American boyfriend, Max, Cindy was riding smoothly in her life. However, her mother stopped her from participating in the local pageant competition for fear of Cindy getting intimate with her boyfriend.
She somehow gatecrashed the competition. Soon after, her nude image leaked online through Max’s phone. Her infamous high school life began after this shocking incident.
Her cousin, Angie, appears in her life to live with her. Coming from Mexico City Angie complains about the conservative society of Cindy’s neighbourhood. Cindy, as a stereotypical girl, considers Angie’s presence a complete phenomenon. She came out as gay, which was a complete shock to Cindy.
Believing that Max is the one for her, they tried to advance their relationship but everything changed in her life afterwards. The series is a journey of self-acceptance through many incidents in the lives of teenagers.
Cindy along with the girls advances through their lives by tackling age-old traditions, taboos, and societal norms. The storyline flows through humour, romance and self-reflection, a perfect blend of comedy and drama.
