Chainsaw Man Anime Storyline
When Denji’s father passed away, he was left with a mountain of debt and no way to pay it off. He can survive because of a Devil dog he spared named Pochita, and he does odd jobs and kills Devils for the Yakuza to make ends meet. It’s hard to top a title like “Chainsaw Man,” and the narrative does not disappoint. In 1997, a young guy called Denji and his devil-dog, Pochita, went out to hunt out deadly demons to pay off his mounting debt. A friend’s betrayal grants Denji access to devilish abilities. Of course, his limbs and head are now adorned with chainsaws for good measure.
The two-year run of the original manga, which included 11 volumes, came to a conclusion in 2020, almost on cue with the anime’s announcement.
