About the Plot of Black Knight series
The story is set in 2071, when air pollution wiped out the Korean population except for the 1% that barely survives. All the surviving people wear unique masks for oxygen and rely on the Knights, who deliver their necessities through an extensive and life-threatening process. The webtoon follows Yoon Sa-wol, a refugee, who is living with Jung Seol-ah and her sister, Seul-ah, after being saved by them nearly a decade ago. He dreams of becoming a delivery man and meets the legendary delivery man known as 5-8, who is the only hope for the refugees to survive.
The Cheonmyeong group has taken it upon themselves to build District A, where the people from the underground district will be relocated. 5-8 takes Sa-wol under his wing and gives him medical treatment. He then discovers that 5-7 is a mutant with metal bones and a fast recovery.
Through a tournament, Sa-wol finds the perfect opportunity to become a deliveryman and asks 5-8 to train him. He manages to qualify for the first two rounds of the tournament and is sent to the refugee districts, where Ryu plans to use Sa-Wol to cure his illness and begin a drive to vaccinate all the refugees.
5-8 discovers Ryu’s plans and ambushes them while also realizing that the organization has been polluting the air, making people dependent on them for oxygen. He then tells chairman Ryu about his son’s atrocities, making the director take precautions against his son.
