About Black Eyed Peas

Will.i.am, Apl.de.ap, and Taboo are members of the American musical group Black Eyed Peas, which is often known as The Black Eyed Peas. J. Rey Soul is the group’s lead singer. Fergie, who had taken Kim Hill’s position in the group’s lineup in 2002 before being succeeded by Soul in 2018, was a member of the group when it was at the pinnacle of its fame in the 2000s. After beginning as an alternative hip-hop group, they decided to transform themselves into a pop-rap act in order to increase their chances of commercial success.

Even though the band was established in Los Angeles in 1995, it wasn’t until 2003, when they released their third album, Elephunk, that they began to see significant success in terms of record sales.

The Black Eyed Peas had their first major success with the single “Where Is the Love?” from the album Elephunk, which was released in 2003. The song topped the charts in thirteen countries, including the United Kingdom, where it remained at the top spot for seven weeks and became the best-selling single in Britain in 2003. The group’s fourth studio album, Monkey Business, achieved even greater success across the globe and was eventually certified three times platinum in the United States.

With their singles “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling,” which topped the chart for an unprecedented 26 consecutive weeks, the group became one of only 11 artists to have simultaneously held the number-one and number-two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009. In addition, the group is one of only 11 artists to have ever achieved this feat.

The song “Imma Be” from the album “The E.N.D.” reached number one on the Hot 100 chart, making the group one of only a select few artists who have ever had three singles from the same album debut at number one on the Hot 100 chart. This was followed by the songs “Rock That Body” and “Meet Me Halfway,” both of which reached the top ten of the Hot 100 chart. “I Gotta Feeling” made history by being the first single in the United Kingdom to sell more than one million downloads.

They triumphed at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, held in January 2010, taking home three of the six awards up for grabs. They distributed their album titled The Beginning in November 2010. The performance took place at the halftime show of the Super Bowl XLV in February of 2011.

It is estimated that the Black Eyed Peas have sold more than 80 million records, making them one of the groups with the most record sales of all time. Their position on the Hot 100 Artists of the Decade chart was seventh, while their position on the 2000s Decade-End Artist of the Decade Chart was twelve.
