Kyle Sandilands, Amy Shark, Harry Connick Jr., and Meghan Trainor are the new judges on Australian Idol.

1. Amali Dimond : Amali Dimond is 16, and she works at an ice cream shop in New South Wales. She idolizes fellow Australian Idol competitors Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy and believes she was destined for a career in show business.

2. Angelina Curtis : Angelina, a 15-year-old Western Australian student, is a prodigiously gifted pianist. She started playing the piano at the age of three and penned her first song when she was nine.

3. Anya Hynninen : Anya, now 19 years old, has been singing since she was trained by her mother, who herself sang in folk clubs. Anya, a local of a relatively tiny town in Victoria, wishes to follow in the footsteps of her famous stepfather Bernard, whom she says inspired her to pursue music professionally.

4. Ben Sheehy : Ben, a 24-year-old native of Queensland, teaches guitar. He says that he fell into singing when his school unexpectedly needed a singer. His distinctive singing style has won over the judges.

5. Harry Hayden : He started singing when he was 18 and claims it helped him express himself. His vocal range is broad, and he enjoys dabbling in several genres.

6. Jasey Fox : Jasey, a 25-year-old great dancer from Sydney’s inner city, loves the music of Freddie Mercury, Tom Jones, Snoop Dogg, and Billy Joel, among others. He enjoys borrowing elements from several artists and incorporating them into his music.

7. Josh Hannan : This 20-year-old from Victoria, Canada, is a physiology student who lives on a picturesque rose farm. Josh’s life experiences serve as a source of inspiration for the feelings he expresses in his music.

8. Maya Weiss : Maya, a 28-year-old Victorian, has been a fan of the singing competition Australian Idol since she was a child. The show had been off the air for 14 years, so she couldn’t even though she was old enough to audition. This was the final qualifying year, and the incredibly skilled singer made it into the top 12.

9. Noora H. : Noora is a 27-year-old singer/songwriter from New South Wales. She’s hoping her singing would help her meet new people.

10. Phoebe Stewart : Phoebe, age 15, is determined to pursue a career in singing despite having had an eardrum graft and dealing with hearing loss.

11. Royston Sagigi-Baira : Royston, now 23, is passionate about singing and volunteering in his local community. He is involved with indigenous youth in Far North Queensland where he hails from.

12. Sash Seabourne : Sash is influenced by bands like Bay and Bear, Matt Corby, Bruce Springsteen, and Fleetwood Mac. The Western Australian surfer is 25 years old.
