The story of Alpha Males revolves around four best friends named Raul, Pedro, Santi, and Luis. They simply cannot keep up with the changing times and are stuck to the traditional male model.
However, they decided to change things up a bit. They want to adapt to the changing times and to do so, they take a course on “deconstructing masculinity,” and they try to apply what they learned in the course in real life.
Watch how they hilariously fail in every attempt and come off as “incompetent fools,” according to the women around them. After their real-life terrible experience, they feel that heteronormative and monogamous couples are in crisis, and they have to reassess it.
All these changes in society have made it difficult for people to figure out their true identity. In short, it is a story consisting of a mid-life crisis roller coaster where a group of friends tries their best to fit in but hilariously fail to do so.
What happened at the end of Alpha Males Season 1?
Season 1 of Alpha Males was an emotional rollercoaster. Four friends, Luis, Raul, Pedro, and Santi, are going through a phase of change during their midlife crisis. Raul cheats on his wife Luz, and she ends their relationship.
Just to be petty, he sells a share of his restaurant. Luis and Esther’s marriage is destroyed as Esther cheats on him and Luis tries marriage counseling, which does not help their relationship in any way.
Pedro and his wife Daniela have a change in roles in their relationship where Pedro quits his job and has to hide it from his parents to escape shame for not being a “man” and a breadwinner and letting his wife earn for the family.
Daniela becomes a successful influencer, and Pedro’s tiny ego is constantly hurt by this fact. Pedro starts his series of lectures on the virility of men, and they go viral, which hurts Daniela’s reach as his videos are misogynistic and put down women, the values she disapproves of and never promotes.
Pedro doesn’t realize that he is hurting her, and this insensitivity and egoistic behavior of his is causing a downfall in his marriage. Coming to Santi, he is horrified by the number of dates his daughter pulls for him from Tinder, but none of them helps to mend his broken heart because he is still in love with his ex-wife, Blanca.
Luis can get back together with his wife, but the others lose their women in the most humiliating way possible. On the bright side, they earn a certificate from the Deconstructing Masculinity course they joined.
