Wreck Season 1 summary
Wreck starts off with the disappearance of a worker on a cruise ship. Pippa is seen being chased by someone in a duck costume with a knife. Following this incident, after three months, her brother, Jamie, joins the same cruise ship crew to find out the truth. He switches with his friend Cormac who has also snuck on the boat to patch things up with his girlfriend, Rosie.
Meanwhile, Pippa’s ex-boyfriend Danny is seen dealing drugs with someone, and on searching his room, Jamie finds Pippa’s phone hidden under his pillow. Danny tells Jamie that he dumped Pippa when she started becoming too clingy. However, Danny is killed by someone in the same duck costume that night.
Jamie finds out that Pippa wanted to get off the ship from her phone, and Sophie finds her mutilated photo in the bathroom. Pippa is communicating with a man with a fish tattoo, and Jamie discovers he is an officer. After Cormac runs out of his hiding from Jamie’s room to see Rosie, he is invited by Beaker to play basketball.
The attacker is seen chasing Sophia that night, but Jamie saves her at the last moment. After detective Martinez arrives on the boat to investigate the murders, things go out of hand. Sophia tells Jamie that she will talk to Martinez to see if he can steal the drug supply from the officers.
Meanwhile, Cormac is discovered by Sam, and he runs into Rosie. He tells Rosie about Jamie’s true identity and tries to win her back. Meanwhile, the director Henry Allan pays Martinez to stop the investigation and keep all the murders a secret.
Although Jamie destroys the drug supply, Sophia does not keep her end of the deal. After Jamie discovers Cormac and Sophia having s*x, he tells him that Sam is the man Pippa was communicating with. Another murder happens on board.
In a flashback, we see Pippa comforting Jamie after he is attacked for being gay, whereas in the present day, Olly and Jamie arrange a date. When Jamie tells Sam that Danny was murdered, he agrees to give him the incident reports on Pippa. As Vivian and Jamie sneak into the personnel records room, they find out the names of all those who were murdered. After Jamie tells this to Sam, he confesses that he was Pippa’s attacker that night.
As Jamie tries to escape from the room, he is cornered by other workers, and Karen knocks him out. After Jamie wakes up in the secret room, he hears Karen tell Sam to kill him. However, he manages to escape and get to Olly. He reveals his identity and tells him everything that is going on on the ship. They reunite with Vivian, Comrac, and Rosie, and Jamie tells them that Sam is the killer.
After Karen catches Olly and Jamie trying to get to Jerome’s body, they are taken to Henry’s room. There they are horrified to watch some wealthy guests term the Whales murder a housekeeper because they paid for it. Vivian, hiding in Lily’s apartment, comes across her brother Niles. Niles warns her about Lily, who then appears and announces that the Whales have chosen Vivian as the next victim.
What happened at the end of Wreck?
Season one of Wreck ended on a big cliffhanger. The episode starts with a flashback of Pippa telling someone there is enough proof to reveal what happens on the ship. In the present day, Henry makes a shocking revelation.
It is established that Sam killed Pipa and Danny, too, in order to keep the secret of the Sacramentum safe. Henry then kills Sam in front of everyone. While Beaker forces Jamie to tell him who else they have been working with. However, Cormac and Rosie save Olly and Jamie at the last moment.
Meanwhile, Lily plans to kill Vivian that night. Jamie convinces the rest of the crew and Ollie, who recruits the mafia. Together they fight back and team up to take down Beaker. Jamie rushes to save Vivian from Lily. Fortunately, Lily is killed by her own chainsaw when she is distracted by Jamie walking through the door.
Henry also reveals that Velorum owns many more ships, and Sacramentum is not the only one. Karen gets to flee the ship in the duck costume just as the police arrest the Whales. After a stressful night, Cormac and Rosie continue their relationship while Olly agrees on a date with Jamie. Jamie and Vivian declare to take down Velorum. The final twist of the tale is added when it is revealed that Pippa is still alive.

What Are the Wreck Review & Recap?
I devoured this in a single day and want more! What initially looks to viewers to be a killer in a duck costume is much more than Jamie Walsh could have expected when he boarded the Sacramentum to discover what happened to his sister Pippa. “Hostel” is a hint, but I won’t give anything away.
While I wouldn’t say, I liked that film and adored this program. I concur with other assessments that the show has few humorous moments, but it has darkly comedic ones and lives up to its slasher horror label. Eventually, dragging out the events makes the entire plot feel more mysterious.
There’s also a greater emphasis on forming relationships than one might prefer if they’re only here for the horror, but I loved the combination of tone and topics. It’s a group of young adults, many of whom are experiencing their independence and s*xuality for the first time on the high seas.
At the same time, a rising number of crew members understand that their employers are as evil as it gets. Continue until the conclusion. It is worthwhile, even if you wish to skip the more dramatic teen parts.
