The Devil Comes At Night Part 2 Release Date
Since the first movie ended abruptly at a cliffhanger, there will likely be a second movie. Although it cannot be confirmed yet because the original movie markers have not said anything about the second movie’s release, a second part will be considered.
Though dicey because the reviews of the film could be better. If anything, they are inferior and disappointing. No filmmaker would want to set himself up for a loss so that it could be a dead end.
What happened at the end of Part 1?
Amy hits the intruder with the safe as it has been found; they take it up the house and open it to find a Cassette player and a cassette. When played, they find out that Ben’s father was a reverend and was conducting the exorcism of Mason in 1969.
Mason was the one who killed him in the fire while saying in the Devil’s voice the Devil would grant Mason powers if he ate the meat of the reverend or his lineage. After a series of events, Mason and all of his cult arrive and surround the house. They hold Jack captive and kill him when Ben and Amy refuse to come out.
And the cult cannot enter inside because the house is made of a church. Panicked, Ben realizes he can save himself and sets up traps inside the house. He breaks the cross and stomps on it while inviting Mason and his cult inside. One by one, all of them get murdered, but Mason gets a hold of Ben while trying to rescue Amy.
Mason gets a chunk of Ben’s flesh, which is when the biggest plot twist is revealed. This man was not the honest Ben. Ben was in a hospital somewhere far away; he was an intruder who wanted to rob the house. Amy gets up and strangles Mason to death, after which the two are in a car trying to escape the town. Amy asks the guy who he truly is, and the movie ends.

What Does the showrunner say about Part 2?
Scott Leaver stated that he wanted the movie to be a little different than initially planned movies where people are trying to invade your house. They made the film such that it was more like a POV point of view. A brilliant idea that only if it were correctly executed would have worked well. He was inspired by The Night Of The Living Dead and The Shining. Both of which are excellent movies.
What Is The Storyline Of The Devil Comes At Night?
Jack brings another Ben to a house when Ben is drunk and all beaten up. Jack tries to help him as much as he can but cannot. When Ben finally awakes, he turns the lights on and realizes his fingers are broken. After giving himself little first aid, he reached into his pockets and found a note telling him not to turn the lights on. But he already had.
He questions with a knock at the door, but no one answers. Eventually, he opens the door and finds a man and a woman, his neighbors. Ben explains how his father has died, and he is in the town to get some work done. The girl revealed that she knew Arthur, Ben’s father, which raises his suspicions. The two of them refused to come inside his house to get more beer but offered to go to theirs instead.
There’s a cross in the backyard and a noise in the front ground. He goes up there, where he finds this middle-aged guy named Mason. He’s getting ready to set up a scarecrow for the field when Ben asks him what he’s doing, he replies with his father Arthur asking him to set it up and pressurizing Ben, who eventually gives up, and it is done now.
As he leaves and Ben enters the house to look for the safe, he hears a noise on the first floor and goes to check-in. As he approaches, a woman is hiding in the room; Amy, as Arthur told her, if anything wrong goes in the town, she should hide in the house only.
Both go downstairs, and as they see at the back porch, the scarecrow has been moved to the door, scaring them. As he goes out from the front door, Mason stands there smiling evilly and asks if Ben wants to handle the fight he should come out in the dark. As he leaves, Amy is alone in the house, and the couple talks to her as if she’s aware of who they are but doesn’t notice they’re holding onto weapons like catching string and a big knife.
When Ben runs back, Amy goes to help. He runs around and tries to come in from the front door, but the couple catches his hand, and Mason tries to cut his hand with the knife. As they’re helping each other understand the situation, why he is being hunted down, and why all that is happening, Amy tells him about her friendship with Arthur.
Amy tells Ben this has happened for the past two weeks since Arthur died. She suspects this is all the devil is doing and that something evil is happening, and his father believes it too. Now they are trying to find the case for money. Amy suggests they go to the wine cellar and encounter the group as they run for their lives; now, they see a church podium and some files lying on it.
As they read them, they discover the history of Arthur and his father. The house is built on the grounds of a burnt church, and Ben’s grandfather has died in it. Suddenly the door opens, and a guy with a fishing gun shoots a spear. Ben and Amy run away, but Amy gets hit, dragged across the floor, and gets out of the hold. Ben pulls the guy in as he starts to vomit blood and tries to kill Ben with bare hands, saying he’ll eat him.

What Can We Expect from The Devil Comes At Night Part 2?
The real identity of the man pretending to be Ben will be revealed. I’m expecting more insight into the Devil and the lives of Arthur and his grandfather. The story has had some of the best plot twists, and I think they might bring Mason back—or some other character in the cult who managed to survive and is now out for revenge.
The guy pretending to be Ben could also be the Devil. There are a lot of possibilities, and I’m expecting that if there is a second movie, they have a lot planned for it. It wouldn’t be easy. Nor would it be anything short of surprising. Perhaps we will see the return of the actual Ben, who will take the story further by returning to the town and doing some necessary things to prevent further problems with the Devil and the cult.
The Devil Comes At Night Part 2 Cast And Character
Adrienne Kress, as Amy, is sure to make an appearance because the first movie ended with her and Ben. Ryan Allen as Ben would return. The first movie has had a limited cast, so the only two survivors among them are these two. They would surely return. The model for the other characters would be different, hopefully with some recognizable faces so that the movie can get more acknowledgment.

The Devil Comes At Night Part 2 Rating
4.6 out of 10 on IMDb, which is very poor. Anything below six on IMDb could be better. 67% on Rotten Tomatoes, which seems alright, and 3 out of 5 on Voices From The Balcony. Overall, ratings are okayish. They are not satisfactory and not highly disappointing. The movie writers are not entirely delighted with the outcome but might not be agitated either.
The Devil Comes At Night Part 2 Review
In modern times, most films classified as Horror are not Horror. The majority are dark dramas with a few dark fantasy elements, such as dream sequences or gruesome scenes. These elements are primarily used to deceive the audience into classifying the film in the “Psychological Horror” or “Folk Horror” subgenres, both of which are so imprecise that they have blurred the lines between dark dramas and genuine Horror films to the point where most new viewers cannot distinguish between the two.
THANKFULLY, THE DEVIL COMES AT NIGHT is a genuine horror film that attempts to tell its story honestly, touching on themes I have only seen in obscure low-budget horror films. The film succeeds on most fronts and is an entertaining, fast-paced mystery that will likely appeal to older horror fans like me.
At the same time, it briefly brushes on contemporary issues such as racism. Indeed, it has flaws, such as a lack of gore and violence, and the ultra-low budget occasionally appears. Still, I give it a positive rating, which I rarely say about modern Horror films.

The Devil Comes At Night Part 2 Worth Watching?
This might be the one for you if you’re into light horror movies. It doesn’t involve the heavy themes of a regular horror movie. It’s nice and not extremely scary for lovers of Horror. However, the film paled in comparison and was not the best.
I have watched better commercials than this, with the plot twists. Though I have to give them, the plot twists were unique and well thought out. The build-up was so good that you wouldn’t even know. I liked the movie for the plot twists, but the film failed me.
The fans have much less to say, but the critics have a lot to say on the other hand. They found the movie mundane and boring. Rather dull. The people explain how there was a lack of creativity, and it is certainly not the best movie for horror lovers. You cannot watch the film again because you’d rather forget what it was like. And I agree with all of them. Though harsh, it is the truth.
Conclusion
A low-budget movie that revolves around a cult and has some delicious plot twists could have been better. It’s not the worst, but on the side of cinematography, casting, and production, the filmmakers must be more careful with the second Part.
