As someone who has read many Western fantasy novels that were also obviously inspired by Harry Potter, I can say with confidence that Reign of the Seven Spellblades is the most extensively Harry Potter-inspired series I have seen since the aughts (although the idea of magicians becoming so fully immersed in the pursuit of magic that it becomes usual for it to entirely wrap around their ethics, kind of like Bleach.
Since it should be much simpler to follow the battles in motion and might even appear less contrived in the process, I really hope this series is made into an anime!
