What kind of Story has My Home Hero Season 1?

It is the story of a family that gets involved with the Yakuza after the father kills his daughter’s boyfriend to protect her from abuse. The family covers up the murder and thus begins a journey of lies and deceptions. Tetsuo Tosu is an everyday salaryman who loves his family unconditionally.

He and his wife Kasen, love their daughter even if they are going through a rough patch in their relationship. Reika, his daughter starts living alone and gets weekly visits from her parents. Tetsuo is a lover of criminal thrillers and murder mysteries and spends his spare time writing stories.

During one such meeting between father and daughter, Tetsuo sees his daughter’s beaten-up face and decides to investigate. He hides in his daughter’s closet when her boyfriend decides to show up at her house to get a read on the man. What he finds shocks him into action.

Nobuto, the boyfriend, being a member of the Yakuza has already murdered two of his previous girlfriends after extorting them for money and he plans on extorting Reika’s wealthy grandparents before dealing the same fate to her. As a father, he acts on his instinct to save his daughter and ends up killing Nobuto with a rice cooker.

It then becomes a thrilling tale of competition between Tetsuo and his wife against the Yakuza over finding what happened to Nobuto. We will get to watch as Tetsuo and Kasen employ several methods to hide the body of Nobuto while the Yakuza try their best to find the truth.
