Season 2 of Mayor of Kingstown has just started airing. The first episode came out on January 15. The season kicks off with Mike and Iris enjoying a pleasant boat ride. However, things heat up when a riot in prison occurs, and several inmates are killed. The police raid a drug lab, and a young man is killed.

As Mike visits the coroner’s office to look at the body, he is convinced that Milo Sunter has escaped and this was just a cover-up. Meanwhile, Mariam is mugged in a liquor store car park.
Mike’s doubts come true, and the town is ablaze with escaped mobster Milo taking the reign. Iris is in need of a new hideout, and Mike asks for help from Kyle. Chaos ensues even more when Mike is called in to look at a drive-through shoot-out. The cops are worried about the number of lives lost and understand this is just a way of retaliation.
