I am ecstatic that MBS is expanding its BL series production. Their previous BLs have been so reassuring because producers and writers still care about the genre and content they are producing. Jack O’ Frost is a BL that I appreciate and adore for releasing something significant and worth watching.

Many of the BLs that are released at the moment need a different level of thought and attention. The performance is better than I anticipated, given that one of the main characters was a supporting player in another BL I saw. Yet, his performance, as well as their acting, was phenomenal. During several scenes, I felt I was invading their privacy due to their believable chemistry and had to avert my gaze.

I recommend this to BL enthusiasts. As I’ve previously remarked, most of the BLs currently being published felt like a waste of my time, as they were filled with fan service and needed more originality, but this is a general criticism of the genre. Nonetheless, Jack O’ Frost offers something novel and concentrates on a story that does not discuss the same old “coming out” issues. This show nails the nail on the head.
