Background
Encanto is a computer-animated musical fantasy film directed by Walt Disney Animation Studios. It is the studio’s 60th feature. The song appears on the film’s soundtrack as the sixth track. It was written and composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also created the soundtrack’s other seven songs.
Additionally, he worked on Disney’s 2016 animated blockbuster Moana. It is sung by Sebastián Yatra, who was born in Colombia but grew up in the United States. After Miranda heard Yatra’s song “Adiós,” he was requested to join the Encanto soundtrack and sing the song.

Sebastián Yatra
Sebastián Obando Giraldo, better known as Sebastián Yatra, is a Colombian singer and composer in the music industry. He began as a Latin pop performer, recording numerous ballads, but has also charted several reggaeton hits. Yatra is well-known for his love songs, which combine traditional lyricism with reggaeton influences. He gained popularity in Latin America in 2016 after releasing the chart-topping single “Traicionera.” Throughout his career, he has published three studio albums and collaborated with musicians from a wide variety of musical genres.
Yatra began singing at a young age and returned to Colombia to pursue a musical career. He was born in Medellin and reared largely in Miami. He reached breakthrough success with the single “Traicionera,” followed by the collaboration with Carlos Vives on “Robarte un Beso.” “Traicionera” was the lead song off his 2018 debut album, Mantra, which also included the single “Sutra,” which featured Puerto Rican rapper Dalmata. He later released the album Fantasia, which included Mexican band Reik on the lead track “Un Ao.” He continued to enjoy success with the bilingual single “Runaway,” which he co-wrote with Daddy Yankee, Natti Natasha, and the Jonas Brothers.
Sebastián Yatra Controversies
Yatra, Sebastian He provoked outrage after participating in the most recent edition of “Al Volante” with “Escorpión Dorado,” in which he was instructed to display affection for the followers they encountered on the street.
