A Shop For Killers Ending Explained

Episode 1 of A Shop for Killers had Ji-an coming to face the sudden news of her guardian and uncle’s death.

On finishing the last rites, she is met with information and threats that are surrounding her and the house she lives in with her uncle. His sudden demise throws her off as he has brought her up after her parents death in a very young age.

Episode 2 brings in new twists and unravels the identity of her uncle, Jin-man who had supposedly lived a dangerous life, winning him enemies that are attacking the house and his niece.

She tries to uncover Jin-man’s profession and his early life with the help of Jeong-min, her hacker friend and an employee in her uncle’s shopping mall.

While trying to discover closed secrets, her house gets attacked by bombs, and firing drones. Surprisingly, the glasses and doors of the house are bulletproof and protect them for a while, before an advanced attack of breaking the glasses by such drones happen.

Both Jeong-min and Ji-an run for cover trying to protect themselves, with Ji-an showcasing excellent combat skills and quick wit to deal with the crisis.

Min-Hye, another mercenary and former friend of Jin-man jumps in to protect Ji-an, and from there the drama brings in the tension required for an action-thriller.

Episode 3 has Jeong-Min and Ji-an running for cover towards the storage room of supplies where they would be safe and Min-Hye handling the shooters and killers single-handedly.

The past and present gets connected with Jin-man teaching survival skills and weapon handling skills to Ji-an in case of any threat and in the need to protect herself.

The episode runs with less music and more of the sound of guns firing and drones flying to catch the essence of action. On unlocking the store room, they come to face another unknown face pointing a gun at them.

With all the killers inside the store room, in episode 4, which is huge by the way, Min-Hye fights and attacks each and every one in that dark room, smartly while Ji-an is facing the masked person on the other side.

Seong-jo, the shooter from the vehicle from the beginning of the show, keeps on informing the killers on what to do and what not to do, seemingly leading the attacks. Ji-an has always wanted for a normal life where she could hang out with friends, make company socially and also go on dates, but is always interrupted by her uncle, making her frustrated.

She vows to leave home someday away from her uncle, as she finds that he is controlling and protective of whomever she mingles with. During an argument with Jin-man, she confronts him about everything he is doing, but met with disappointment about his answers.

So he makes a deal with her stating that if she hits him, he will let her move away. But whenever she tries, he avoids it indicating his speed and skilled training.

Pasin is one of the workers and trusted aids of Jin-man and once, he fought against Ji-an with a Muay Thai move, making Ji-an wish to learn the same to beat her uncle. Pasin agrees to teach her, on a payment of certain amount and there, starts her classes in fighting and combat moves. She gets reminded of all of this when she used the move to disarm the masked man.

It turns out that the masked man is another trusted worker of Jin-man and he has been monitoring all the events from the storage room with CCTVs everywhere in the house.

With alcertations and twists, Jeong -min convinces Ji-an against Brother (name is unknown- the masked guy) and proves that he has been loyal to Ji-an since the start. Brother runs to the rescue of Min-Hye, while Jeong-min’s real identity is revealed.

Episode 5 revealed Jeong-min’s true face and his agenda behind being in the shopping mall and around Ji-an. He is an excellent hacker who gets hired by parties against Jin-man, to try to extract information about him.

Jeong-min eventually gets the information required by the enemies and also gets captured by Jin-man in the end. But it is also revealed that he pushed Jin-man to commit suicide on the pretext of stating that his niece, Ji-an has been kidnapped.

The suicide mystery surrounding Jin-man is solved. With Ji-an becoming the heir and fulfilling the legacy of Jin-man, as stated by Brother, she boldly states how the enemies won’t think twice before killing off Jeong -min either.

She meets Pasin (who ran off in between taking everyone’s money) who saves her from another killer, proving his loyalty to Jin-man.

Episode 6 revealed the backstory of Jin-man and the reason for this mess surrounding him. He and his mates used to be mercenaries working on tasks provided by Babylon and being skilled snipers, their lives are at stake whenever they go out on a mission.

During one such mission, we get to see Bale (a mercenary and sadist sniper under Jin-man’s team) being a psychopath and killing innocent citizens.

Seong-Jo, despite being a comic, is also a partners-in-crime with Bale in killing off innocent people during their mission just because of their twisted ideas. One such incident, is that they kill a rookie who finds out about this whole situation.

Jin-man gets to know about the situation later, but gets an hunch on what is going on and seeks the help of his commander to keep Bale away from the mission.

He is requested to finish one last mission with the same team and bring back a businessman, and report back about the mission’s details. During their execution, Seong-Jo along with twin mercenaries (loyal to Bale and Seong-Jo) and Bale kill other hostages who are unarmed, showing no remorse.

Jin-man figures it out and promises to hand him over to investigation team. He comes across Min-Hye hiding amongst the chaos, and while trying to save her from Bale, he gets attacked instead and Bale takes over trying to kill both Min-Hye and Jin-man.

In the end, Bale gets shot by Min-Hye in the eye and Jin-man overpowers him and kills him, before leaving the place that is timed to be blasted off by dynamites, to clear off any sources or evidences of their operations.

At the end of episode 6, we get to see that Bale is indeed alive and joins hands with Seong-jo in seeking his revenge.
