This series “Chucky” from 2021 is so much fun. Particularly if you liked the first two “Child’s Play” films. I have to say that when I discovered this series, I had not heard of it being created, and hence it came as a surprise.

Needless to say, I had to see it since I had previously watched all of the franchise’s films and always enjoyed them. Furthermore, “Chucky” is a lot of fun. That is something I must state. Particularly given how closely it adheres to the spirit and core of the original films, and let’s not even mention the abject 2019 remake.

And it was such a delight to have Brad Dourif reprise his role as Chucky since no one else could possibly voice that insane killing doll. The series has Jennifer Tilly, Devon Sawa, and Lexa Doig, which was extremely pleasant.

The plot of the 2021 series is excellent since it is a mash-up of ancient classics with modern stuff, for better or worse. I have to admit that it’s becoming a little tiresome that everything that comes out of Hollywood now has to appease the whole Woke movement.

Indeed, young homosexual romance exists here as well. I have nothing against homosexuality, but it becomes a drag when imposed to be politically correct. Visually, “Chucky” is a delight to see since it is just as violent and horrific as the films and has all of Chucky’s fantastic clever banter. I’m going with a well-deserved seven out of 10 stars for this 2021 series.
