About Manowar
Manowar is an American heavy metal band from Auburn, New York. The band, which was established in 1980, is well-known for songs that glorify the genre and its core fanbase, as well as lyrics that are based on mythology and fantasy, particularly Norse and Greco-Roman mythology, as well as sword and sorcery. The band is well-known for the raucous and powerful sound that it creates. In an interview with MTV in February 2007, bassist Joey DeMaio lamented, “These days, there’s a real lack of big, epic metal that is drenched with crushing guitars and choirs and orchestras.”
We have new dates for Denmark and Estonia and have added the Second Official Mega Fan Convention but due to pandemic restrictions have been forced to also move previously announced shows in Germany and The Netherlands to February 2023.

It’s good to be one of the few bands that’s genuinely achieving it, Joey DeMaio said. “These days, there’s a real lack of big, epic metal that is drenched with crushing guitars and choirs and orchestras.” The band’s performance in 1984 was rated as the loudest ever, earning them a place in the Guinness Book of World Records; nevertheless, they have subsequently managed to break this record three times.
They also hold the record for the longest heavy metal performance in the world, having played for five hours and one minute at the Kavarna Rock Festival in Bulgaria in 2008. This gives them the title of the world record holder. In addition, they are famous for the slogan “Death to counterfeit metal,” which is often associated with the company. The band has a large following among music obsessives all around the world.
