“Sing 2” is a fun and pleasant sequel to 2016’s “Sing” and, in many respects, is the uncommon sequel that outperforms the original. Buster Moon’s (Matthew McConaughey) and his actors are having a run of sold-out concerts at his theatre in the new film.

Unwilling to settle for provincial glory, Buster and his team travel to the big city to develop and perform a performance for Bigshot Jimmy Crystal a cruel character. Buster adds that after conning his way into an audition, their new program would feature the comeback of reclusive rock icon Clay Calloway who has been a hermit for the past fifteen years.

Jimmy is interested and gives Buster a chance, as well as including his daughter Porsha (Halsey) into the program, despite the fact that she is a great vocalist with cringe-worthy acting.
